AI-Powered Issue Summaries: Now Support Integration with Azure OpenAI Service
Far End Technologies Corporation is pleased to announce that, starting March 25, 2026, the AI assistant feature “AI-Powered Issue Summaries” in its project management cloud service My Redmine Global Edition now supports integration with Azure OpenAI Service, in addition to the existing OpenAI API.
About “AI-Powered Issue Summaries”
“AI-Powered Issue Summaries” is an AI assistant feature in My Redmine Global Edition, a cloud-based Redmine service provided by Far End Technologies, that automatically analyzes and summarizes the content of an issue.
By simply clicking the “Summarize with AI” button at the top of an issue, the AI analyzes the discussions within the issue and instantly displays a summary.
(To use this feature, customers need to subscribe to an external AI service separately.)
This Update: Support for Integration with Azure OpenAI Service
Since its initial release in July 2025, AI-Powered Issue Summaries has supported only the OpenAI API. With this update, it now also supports integration with Azure OpenAI Service.
To use Azure OpenAI Service, customers need to set up their own environment on Microsoft Azure and configure the API connection settings in My Redmine. Customers who already use Azure can leverage their existing infrastructure and operational setup, making it easy to adopt and use the “AI-Powered Issue Summaries” feature.
