My Redmine 2026 Mid-Year Update
We will be upgrading the software provided in our Redmine cloud service, My Redmine Global Edition, from RedMica 4.0 to 4.1.
RedMica is a Redmine-compatible software developed by Far End Technologies.
RedMica 4.1 includes all features of Redmine 6.1.2, which was released on March 16, 2026 (Central European Time), along with several enhancements planned for upcoming Redmine releases, including Redmine 7.0.
Upgrade Schedule
RedMica 4.1 will be rolled out sequentially starting in June 2026. The specific implementation date will vary for each contract (each My Redmine environment).
Service Downtime for Upgrade
- We plan to upgrade sometime in June 2026.
- Service will be stoppped or be very slow during the upgrade.
- We will announce the upgrade date by email.

We will upgrade to RedMica 4.1, which was released on May 8, 2026.

Can I continue to use my existing data?
Yes, your data and settings will be carried over after this upgrade.
However, please note that any customizations made with the View Customize plugin (Administration -> View customize) may not function as expected after the upgrade. Any code independently added by the customer is not covered by our support, so we ask that you make any necessary corrections yourself.

Will the appearance or usability change?
While there will be no major changes to usability or the user interface, there will be minor changes due to new features.

Are there any procedures required for the upgrade?
No procedures or work are required from the customer.

Will there be any additional charges?
There are no additional charges, as the cost of the upgrade is included in your monthly fee.

What are the “My Redmine Mid-Year Update” and “My Redmine New Year Update”?
My Redmine conducts updates twice a year, typically around June–July and December–January. These updates include RedMica version upgrades as well as plugin and theme updates. These bi-annual updates are referred to as follows:
- Conducted around June–July: My Redmine Mid-Year Update
- Conducted around December–January: My Redmine New Year Update
These designations have been in use since November 2025.
